Clarence James (CJ) Cotten. Forever the consummate over-achiever, he established the CJ Cotten Insurance Agency in 1999. His family, friends, customers and clients are his inspiration and greatest assets. He has over 35 years of Safety and Health, Risk Management, and Insurance sales, marketing, and customer service experience. Insurance is a form of risk management primarily used to protect against the risk of a contingent loss. It includes the equitable transfer of the risk of a loss, from one entity to another, in exchange for a premium and can be thought of as a guaranteed and known small loss to prevent a large, possibly devastating loss. And Safety and Health involves hazard recognition and abatement to prevent personal injury; property loss; and business interruption. These combined total loss control elements is how each client’s insurance needs assessment is approached.
His academic background includes an A.A.S. from the College of Southern Nevada in Occupational Safety; a B.S. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in Business Administration; and an M.A. from the University of Phoenix in Organizational Management. He is a licensed Health; Property, Casualty, Surety, variable annuities and variable life agent and an Authorized Occupational Safety & Health outreach instructor. |
